You know the worst thing about being super-wealthy? Whenever you’re indoors, no-one knows you own a Lamborghini. Luckily for oligarchs everywhere, you can now whip out the new £2,500 Tonino Lamborghini Antares smart phone to remind everyone just how stinking rich you are.
Despite the whopping price, the luxurious Antares is pretty similar specs-wise to the Motorola Moto G, which looks like even more of a snip at £120. Encased in Gorilla Glass, stainless steel and leather, the 4-inch Antares is coming to the UK next year.
Under the bonnet of the Lambo blower is 2GB of RAM fuelling a quad-core 1.5GHz engine. There’s 32GB of boot space with room for a MicroSD card roof rack.
The stereo is a Yamaha amplifier and speakers, with a 13-megapixel, 1080p main snapper, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat.
The software is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, with a custom interface for rich people. Hopefully rich people aren’t too fussed about watching movies on their phones, because the screen has a decidedly mediocre 960 x 540 resolution.
The Antares hits the road in December in the Russian Federation and China, and burns rubber in Italy, Britain and the US from Spring 2014. If your other car is a Porsche, you might prefer the £1,000 BlackBerry Z10 Porsche Edition, or perhaps the £3,000 Tag Heuer Merediist 2 — or the £4,000 Vertu Constellation, which gives you access to a 24-hour concierge service making your every wish their command.
