HTC One owners in UK to get Android 4.4 KitKat in early 2014

HTC One owners in the UK mark your calendars. HTC has confirmed that its flagship smartphone will get an update to Android 4.4 KitKat in a few months’ time.

Yesterday HTC tweeted: “We’re working with our local carriers to begin the rollout of Android 4.4 and Sense 5.5 for the #HTCOne from end of January 2014.”

That likely means we’ll start to see British blowers getting the update through February — though you may have to wait a little longer, depending on your network, as carriers often need to tweak Android updates before beaming them out to customers.
