Nexus 4 owners should keep an eye out for Android 4.4 KitKat.
The latest flavor of Android has started to roll out to the Nexus 4 phone via over-the-air updates, according to blog site Android Central. Several users said they received the 238MB update Tuesday night.

Android 4.4 began rolling out last week for the Nexus 7 and 10 tablets. Google said at the time that Nexus 4 owners would have to wait for KitKat.
The Nexus 5 is already flavored with Android 4.4. One device not invited to the KitKat club is Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus.
Google recently said that the 2-year-old Nexus isn’t eligible for KitKat because it falls outside of the time frame for such updates. However, sources “close to the company” told Engadget that the problem stems from the Texas Instruments chipset. TI is no longer in the mobile device chipmaker business and supposedly can’t lend a hand in supporting upgrades for the phone.
KitKat purrs up a few new treats for Android users, including a simpler design, enhancements to Google Now, a new phone dialer, and support for printing via Google Cloud Print printers.
