In addition to top senior executives, Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside will also attend with an “update on the business,” according to the invitation.
Motorola promises more details about the event will be released as the date approaches, but we have a strong feeling that Lenovo’s recent acquisition of Motorola from Google will be one of the main talking points of the night.
As for its financial performance, it’s no secret that the mobile unit has been losing money during its time with Google. In its fourth quarter, Motorola’s operating loss increased from $152 million to $384 million in the last year. Its revenue also decreased 18 percent from a year ago.
Of course, you can bet CNET will be attending. Until then, any other guesses about what this event may hold? A surprise last-minute smartphone unveiling perhaps? Let us know in the comments below.
