Update (11:00a.m. PT): The Galaxy S5 has officially launched. Check out CNET’s complete coverage (including hands-on video and photos.)
Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S5 at a press event later on Monday at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and to whet our appetites, one Twitter account is showing off some images.
A Twitter account going by the name @SaudiAndroid has leaked several images of what it claims is the new Galaxy S5. Judging by the pictures, the device is slightly taller than the Galaxy S4 and appears to have a bigger screen. And although it still uses rounded corners, the device appears to be more rectangular in shape than its predecessor.

For reference, @SaudiAndroid put the Galaxy S5 up against the Galaxy Note 3. Samsung’s latest flagship handset will still be notably smaller than its phablet.
Beyond size, the Galaxy S5 doesn’t appear to be a major departure from the Galaxy S4 in terms of design. On the back, however, Samsung has seemingly ditched the standard plastic finish with a different, dimpled type.
Samsung has so far kept its device plans close to the vest. The company will likely make all of the specs known later on Monday at its press event, which kicks off at 8 p.m. Barcelona time or 11 a.m. PT. As always, CNET will be there to cover every last second.
