Samsung is reportedly aiming a Galaxy S5 Active at AT&T, Sprint, and other carriers.
Offering up the purported scoop on Twitter, @evleaks said Monday that a phone with the model number SM-G870x is the Galaxy S5 Active. The tweet didn’t spill the beans on any launch date.
Last year Samsung released the Galaxy S4 Active in June following the launch of the S4 itself in April. The Galaxy S5 reaches consumers on April 11.
The Active version of the Galaxy S4 is designed to be more dustproof and waterproof than the core model, though CNET found the phone to be too vulnerable to truly be considered rugged .
