China’s Gionee Elife S5.5 claims to be the world’s thinnest smartphone thanks to its 5.5mm-thin frame and the good news is, if you live in India, you’ll be able to get your hands on it soon (mid-April) for just 22,999 Indian Rupees ($383).
For the price you’re paying, you’ll be getting an Android-powered smartphone that sports a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel camera as well as an eight-core processor.
Despite its 5.5mm-thin frame, the smartphone also packs a 2,300mAh battery, which should hopefully give it at least a day of use.
I was pretty impressed when I spent some time with this handset at Mobile World Congress — be sure to check out my hands-on here. Hopefully, Gionee will be able to bring this handset to other markets in the world soon.
