TAIPEI, Taiwan — Leaked earlier last month in Ukraine, the two new Transformer Pads are powered by a quad-core 1.86GHz Intel Atom Bay Trail processor Z3745 and run Android 4.4. While not yet officially announced, both tablets showed up during the demo section of the company’s press event.
The higher-specced version of the dockable tablet, the TF303CL, comes with a keyboard, sports a 10.1-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080-pixel) display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. There’s built-in 4G connectivity and up to 10 hours of battery life.
The other less powerful version, the TF103C, lacks LTE, has a lower resolution 1,280×800-pixel display and only 1GB of RAM. The battery life is rated at 9.5 hours.
Asus has yet to release availability and pricing of the tablet, but do check back later as we’ll be updating this story with more information.
