LG G3 smartphone owners can now play a new game without having to open up the phone’s special case.
The first mobile game designed for the QuickCircle case for the G3, Puppy Pop pops up in the case’s small circular window. Users can play the puzzle game through the screen by drawing lines across three or more of the same puppies to remove as many as possible before time runs out.
Like most smartphone makers, LG has to compete in a mobile market dominated by Samsung and Apple. An IDC report published in April showed LG in fifth place in the global smartphone market behind third-place Huawei and fourth-place Lenovo. LG’s first-quarter phone shipments showed growth from the same quarter in 2013, but its market share dipped. The G3 is LG’s latest weapon in the war to win over more customers. But such added innovations as the QuickCircle case are also intended to entire buyers.
Unveiled in May along with LG’s new G3 flagship phone, the QuickCircle case lets you perform a variety of tasks without having to open it. You can check the time, make calls, send a text, listen to music, and take photos with the case closed. You can also charge the phone via a wireless charging pad or dock without having to remove the case.
LG G3 owners can download Puppy Pop directly from the Google Play store.
