Fitness-tracking devices like the Fitbit or Jawbone Up measure your steps and movement throughout the day to motivate you to adopt an healthy lifestyle. But beyond motivation, that data isn’t always useful. A new armband called Push puts a focus specifically on optimizing your strength-training workout.

For this episode of CNET Update, I got to see this new tracker in action. Push CEO and co-founder Rami Alhamad demonstrated how it measures force, power and velocity. With that information, it can offer suggestions on how to improve your workout. Watch the video above to learn more.
