Google Play customers now have more time to decide whether or not to return those impulse downloads according to an update quietly posted to Google’s paid apps support page today.
Formerly limited to a window of only 15 minutes, Google now allows for up to 2 hours to return the app or game and get a refund. Considering that some of today’s bigger games can get into multiple gigabytes of data it makes sense for Google to take a more lenient stance.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve blown past the old 15-minute mark even just to install the necessary files for an app many times. And with device screen resolutions on the rise, we can expect files to continue to grow. For now, however, 2 hours should be plenty of time.
Should you end up wanting or needing to return your purchase after 2 hours, CNET has a way to get your money back.
