On Friday, the carrier announced the immediate availability of another more wallet-friendly take of the HTC One M8 series of smartphones.
The One E8 is wrapped in a polycarbonate shell, which makes for a lighter in-hand experience.
Key hardware features include a 5-inch HD display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a front-facing 5-megapixel selfie-snapper. Powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, the One E8 comes with 16GB of internal storage, with the option for expansion via microSD.
The One E8 runs a very current version of Android, 4.4.2 KitKat, and the Sense 6.0 UI delivers the custom touches HTC fans have come to appreciate.
As for color options, you can buy the HTC One E8 in either Polar White or Misty Gray with silver accents for $99 with a two-year service agreement. Alternatively, qualified Easy Pay customers can scoop up the phone for $0 down (plus tax) and 24 payments of $20.84 per month, for a grand total of $500. It’s initially a Web exclusive, but Sprint said it will offer the phone in retail stores in a few weeks.
