Sony resurrects Bravia and PS3 deal

Despite some teething problems with its previous promotion, Sony has decided to give its “free PlayStation with any 1080p Bravia” deal another whirl.

This time around the company is limiting the month-long 1 July promotion to the first 35,000 customers, and will be composed of mostly last year’s models, according to TweakTown, despite new TVs coming out at the same time.

The promotion will consist of the current W series, X series and XBR, says TweakTown, with the upcoming 32- and 40-inch V4000 also included.

The folk at Sony were unable to confirm the promotion — only that news would be available tomorrow. Funnily enough, tomorrow is also the day which Sony said it would announce pricing on its new range, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see the price on current models take a small dip.

During the last promotion, several CNET.com.au readers complained of late delivery of their PS3 consoles, which Sony put down to the “extremely good” response and delays in customers sending back their redemption coupons.

UPDATE: Sony have now announced the new deal. Get more info here.
