Be first to see LG’s new kit, star in a CNET UK video and win a 3D TV!

How would you like the opportunity to test the latest home-cinema kit and present your own video about your experiences for CNET UK? Oh, and possibly win a 3D TV in the process? You’re in luck — this is your chance to get your face seen by the world.

We’re looking for ten people to pop along to a showcase on Wednesday 6 April — that’s next week — at 7pm in Fitzrovia, London. There, you’ll get to play with the most exciting AV kit from LG before it’s available in the shops. With a funky house full of smart TVs and 3D gear, there will be plenty to see.

Once you’ve had a chance to have a good old tinker with everything there, we’ll take you to one side and film your thoughts about the kit you’ve seen. The resulting video will appear on CNET UK and LG’s website. The two people with the most interesting, entertaining and insightful thoughts will win an LG 47LW550T, one of the company’s new LED 3D TVs, worth around £1,000.

To qualify to win the TV, you’ll need to live in the UK at the time the telly’s shipped to you, and commit to being filmed in your house two weeks after the event, once you’ve had a chance to use the TV for longer.

We’ll pay for your travel to London and back on Wednesday night, and there will be food and drinks at the event, provided by LG.

How to take part

If you want to be one of the ten people we select to take part, email (Update: this competition has now closed so we have removed the email address from this story) with your name, contact details, a couple of paragraphs about yourself and why we should pick you, and links to anything you have written or filmed. We’ll be in touch if you’re successful. Good luck!
