Foxtel has made a change to its channel assignments to make it easier for high-definition (HD) subscribers to access those AU$10 per month high-def stations.
From 1 December, Foxtel HD subscribers should note that HD channels have moved from their previous number range of 200 to 250 across to where the corresponding standard-definition (SD) channels used to live. Meanwhile, the SD channels will move the other way, from their previous category-based location to that 200 to 250 block.
So, for instance, Fox Sports 1 HD now lives on channel 501, while standard-def Fox Sports 1 moves to 203.
This should make it easier for those lucky enough to have an HD package to find the content that they’re paying for.
Regular Foxtel, iQ and iQHD subscribers who aren’t signed up for HD content are unaffected by this change.
