A few months back, Xbox announced that the Quickflix service — already available on a number of smart TVs and other home entertainment devices — would be arriving on Xbox in September. Apparently, that September has finally arrived, with Xbox revealing that the Quickflix app can now be downloaded from the Xbox Marketplace for both Australia and New Zealand.

Quickflix subscription costs AU$14.99 a month for unlimited streaming of TV episodes and movies.

It’s joined by the slightly less exciting — although no less useful — WSJ Live app, which will make available original programming from over 2000 Wall Street Journal journalists across the globe, including four hours of live broadcast a day. This classes up the Microsoft Xbox immeasurably.
