Devialet’s stunningly beautiful amplifiers at CES 2014

I reviewed the first Devialet back in 2010, and that advanced tech amplifier, the D-Premier, rocked the audiophile world. At the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Devialet is showing its next generation amps. There’s the new flagship Devialet 240, along with the more affordable Devialet 170 and Devialet 110, which can either be placed on a table or vertically mounted flat on a wall.

High-resolution music streaming from computers, smart phones, or tablets using any format up to 24 bit/192 kHz digital is possible. Rear panel connectivity features Ethernet, digital S/PDIF, RCA, XLR, HDMI, USB, Toslink, RS232 trigger, turntable/phono, plus a subwoofer output with adjustable bass management via Devialet’s online configuration tool.

The Devialet 240 features Class-A power amplifiers with a built-in high-resolution digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and a range of sophisticated digital capabilities. This stereo, a 2 x 240 watt amplifier, can be reconfigured as a 500 watt monoblock amplifier. The monoblocks can then be daisy-chained together with up to seven additional Devialet 240s for home theater applications.

The Devialet 170 is a 2 x 170 watt amplifier, and the Devialet 110 is a 2 x 110 watt amplifier. Both amps’ features are similar to the Devialet 240’s, and they are all designed and built in France.

The Devialet 240, Devialet 170, and Devialet 110 are available now from authorized US dealers at suggested prices of $17,495, $9,495 and $6,495 (MSRP), respectively.

The complete Devialet line is on display at CES 2014 at the Venetian Hotel.
