Logitech’s Harmony remotes can control nearly every device in your living room, but Sonos’ components have always been left out of the remotes’ near-universal device support.

Logitech’s latest firmware update fixes that omission, enabling volume and playback control for Sonos devices on the Harmony Ultimate and Harmony Smart Control remotes. Harmony owners will be able to access their Sonos favorites from the Harmony app or the remote’s touchscreen, if their Harmony remote has one.
The new update also adds voice recognition capabilities to the smartphone app, making it (potentially) easier to search for content on the Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Roku, as well as PCs and Macs.
It all adds up to a solid update for a pair of remotes we already highly recommend, especially the Logitech Harmony Smart Control, which is frequently on sale for $100 in the US.
