Samsung Shape streaming devices to get Spotify

Samsung has confirmed Spotify will be coming to its Shape Multi-Room streaming products in the US by mid-2014, joining the forthcoming IHeartRadio.

Samsung has told CNET Spotify Connect will be coming in Q2 2014, while IHeartRadio is imminent. The two services are part of a wider offering which will be available for the Multi-Room ecosystem which debuted on the Samsung Shape M7 wireless speaker.

Detailed at an event at New York’s Guggenheim Museum last week where the company announced further services Rdio and 8tracks, but has yet to detail launch dates for them.

At launch the Shape Multi-Room system offered Pandora , Rhapsody, TuneIn and Amazon Music and is also available on devices such as the Shape M5 , the BD-H6500 Blu-ray Player and the Samsung HW-H750 soundbar.

Meanwhile, competitor Bose has declared Deezer and IHeartRadio will be available on its SoundTouch devices in the second half of 2014, with Spotify yet to be announced.
