Roku is master of the streaming universe

2:55

In this episode of Update, get the breakdown on Amazon’s deal to stream HBO shows on Prime Instant Video. Amazon Prime subscribers will have access to stream older HBO shows. It’s the first time HBO shows can be streamed outside of HBO’s service. This is a big win for Amazon in the battle with Netflix, but the game isn’t over yet.

The Amazon-HBO deal is also good news for Roku, since it is one of the few streaming boxes that can play Amazon Prime Instant Video. In addition, Roku just added a YouTube channel to all of its current streamers. The lack of YouTube was the only blemish in Roku’s channel offerings — until now.

And while the Amazon and Roku news is good for consumers, not all tech updates bring glee. Before jumping into Twitter’s new profile design, watch the video for tips on how to cope. You may need to make some adjustments to your profile photos.
