As one of the first brands to debut a 4K television for under a grand, TCL has returned with not one, but three televisions under the magical $1,000 barrier.

The Chinese company has five models in total, from 40 inches up to 85 inches, and all feature 4K resolution and HDMI 2.0 inputs. The three cheapest TVs come in 40-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch varieties.

The premium UH9500 range includes one model for just $800 — the 55-inch 55UH9500 — with the two higher models being the 65-inch 65UH9500 for $1,300, and the 85-inch 85UH9500 for $8,000.

The UH9500 televisions feature “ultra-thin” bezels, a “Wide Color Spectrum” backlight, integrated HEVC (H.265) decoder and built-in dual-band wireless connectivity. The models also sport a dual-core processor as well as quad-core graphics processor.

The entry level UE5700 series includes two models under $1,000 — the 40-inch 40UE5700 for $500 and the 49-inch 49UE5700 for $600. The models include a 120Hz refresh rate and four HDMI inputs (one more than the premium TVs). These models miss the onboard HEVC decoder of the premium range, and TCL suggests they are best for consuming external 4K sources.
