Motorola is ready to fight for love — consumer love, that is — with some Valentine’s Day promotions that begin next week.
Starting February 2 for a span of 12 hours, you can score a promo code that slashes $140 off a purchase of at least $499.99, or $50 off a purchase of at least $249.99 at Motorola.com. The offer is good for almost any phone or accessory, but it only applies to online purchases at Motorola.com.
But wait, there’s more. If you miss your chance to snag the promo code, you can still take advantage of a discount the next day. Starting February 3 and running through February 14, you can save $100 off a $499.99 purchase, or $35 off a $249.99 purchase with no promotion code needed.

These promotions are the latest aggressive move by Motorola as it seeks to recapture a sliver of its past glory. Once a pioneer in wireless devices, Motorola and its Moto X franchise is beset by high-end Android competitors and needs to take the extra the step to lure in customers. Motorola had been hit by a string of quarterly losses in the past, but it has become more of a player and challenger after being acquired by Lenovo last year. However, the company still is trying to carve out a bigger niche for itself in a competitive mobile phone market dominated by Apple and Samsung.
To take advantage of February 2 promotion, you must sign up at Motorola’s registration page that day between 11 am and 11:59 pm Central Time to get your code for either $140 or $50. On the registration page, enter your contact information and Motorola will email you your one-time promotion code.
Browse Motorola’s website to choose the product or products you want. The amount has to total at least $499.99 before sales tax is applied to receive the $140 discount, or $249.99 before sales tax to receive the $50 discount. Apply the code when you check out to get the deal.
For the February 3-14 promotion, you have until February 14 at 10:59 pm Central to redeem your coupon. You must use a shipping address in the United States. The offer excludes certain items, specifically the Nexus 6, the Moto X (2nd Gen.) on Republic Wireless and the Extended Service Plan. Also, you can choose only up to two devices among Motorola’s Moto X (2nd Gen.), Moto G (2nd Gen.), Moto G 4G LTE (1st Gen.), Moto E and Moto 360.
