New Android Wear commercial hits minutes before Apple Watch event

All eyes are on San Francisco, where Apple is expected to fill in all the remaining blanks on its long-anticipated wearable, the Apple Watch, at an event starting at 10 a.m. PT. But wait, aren’t there already other smartwatches out there? Google’s got one, right?

Like the lone Yankees fan sitting in a crowd of die-hard Red Sox nuts at Fenway Park, Google’s Android Wear team bravely raised its hand just minutes before Apple’s big event, with the new commercial below that seems to say, “Hey everyone, um, sorry to bother you, but we’re here too.”

The ad is actually a little more in your face than that. In fact, all it is is 15 seconds of fashionable young folks shoving mostly fashionable smartwatches running Android Wear in your face.
