The Denon HEOS 3 is a compact multi-room speaker featuring Spotify Connect which enables users to control the speaker directly from the Spotify app.

The speaker promotion began on February 17 and runs until March 19, 2015, or until stock runs out.

The range, which also include the HEOS 5 and HEOS 7, is able to be controlled via the Denon HEOS app, which also enables DLNA and Pandora playback.

While we have yet to review the HEOS range the products did attract some controversy last year when competitor Sonos sued Denon for its own product line. At the time, Denon said that it had been working on the product for 10 years and aimed to protect its intellectual property against Sonos.

“We fully intend to take all necessary actions to protect our technology and product investment in our HEOS products,” CEO of D+M Group Jim Caudill said.

While the court case is as-yet unresolved and its effect on the future of HEOS is unknown, it’s unlikely you’ll find a better Spotify Connect speaker for $99.

Denon did not immediately respond to CNET’s request for comment.
