Sprint will cover all costs to switch carriers

Sprint today announced a limited-time promotion where it dangles an even bigger carrot in front of anyone willing to switch carriers.

Starting immediately, the carrier will pay not only your early termination fees, but also the remainder on your current handset’s installment plan. Sprint doesn’t care how much is owed, it will eat the cost regardless.

There is, of course, fine print. You’ll have to trade in your existing device and it must be in good working condition. And to get the deal, you’ll need to submit a copy of your bill with the termination fees and final installment balance showing. Sprint will then send you an American Express Reward Card within about two weeks’ time.

It’s not clear how long Sprint plans to offer the new rate plan; CNET has contacted Sprint for clarification and will update the post with any new information.
