As we head into summer we’re starting to see more waterproof iPhone 6 cases make their debuts. Lifeproof is getting ready to ship its first waterproof battery case, the Fre Power, and now Mophie is countering with the Juice Pack H2Pro, its first waterproof battery case. Both cases cost $130, with no word yet on overseas pricing for either model.

Mophie says that in addition to waterproof protection, the Juice Pack H2Pro has a sleek, durable design that’s built “to bounce back from accidental drops, dust, dirt and other everyday conditions, keeping your phone safe in all situations.”

Theunit is equipped with a 2,750mAh rechargeable lithium ion polymer battery that doubles the battery life of your iPhone 6 (14 additional hours of talk time, 10 additional hours of Web browsing, 11 additional hours of video playback, and 50 additional hours of music playback, according to Mophie). Like the Lifeproof, this case is only available for the iPhone 6, with no word on whether an iPhone 6 Plus version is in the works.

Like other Mophie cases, there’s a pass-through charging that allows the phone to charge while still in the case (it charges before the Juice Pack does). You can also access the Touch ID button through a scratch-resistant membrane for fingerprint recognition.

The Mophie Juice Pack H2Pro is currently available for pre-order at mophie.com for $130. It doesn’t have an exact ship date yet. However, a Mophie rep said that it’s on track to ship towards the end of this month.

We’ll let you know how it compares to the Lifeproof Fre Power as soon as we get a review sample (we just got our sample of the Fre Power).
