LG has given last year’s 3G-only L Bello smartphone a punch-up for 2015, the company announced on Monday. This year’s LG Bello II is affordable and designed for emerging markets.

The L Bello II is a smidge bigger than its predecessor and features a 5-inch 854×480-pixel display. It’s got a 1.3GHz quad-core processor inside, an 8-megapixel rear camera that promises some decent shots and a front-facing 5-megapixel shooter for those selfies.

Rounding things out, you’ll also find a microSD expansion card slot and a 2,540mAh battery, and the storage capacity doubles to 8GB, which is a critical improvement over last year’s model.

While its hardware splashes around in the shallow end of the pool, it uses some of the same software found in other, more powerful LG phones.

Present here are Gesture Shot and Selfie Flash, two apps which make for an easier and better photo experience. The L Bello II runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and also includes the latest LG UX user interface.

LG will sell the L Bello II in Latin America and India in July, followed by Europe and the CIS later this year. Available in white, gold, and gray (which LG refers to as Titan), LG will offer single and dual-SIM variations.
