Let’s face it. No one needed to watch “Sharknado.” No one needed to watch “Sharknado 2,” creatively dubbed “The Second One.” And, I won’t lie to you, you don’t need to spend an evening watching “Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!”
But who am I to rob you of the freedom to watch the best trashy TV that streaming services have to offer? Even if it is the latest Creature Feature that scoops through a vat of tired B-Movie tropes and sluices them into 90 minutes of cartilaginous glory. We haven’t seen a washed-up concept this thinly veiled since Ian Ziering pulled a NASA T-shirt over his 51-year-old abs and picked up a chainsaw. But you better believe we’re going to watch it.
This is what streaming is made for — charming 90s Britcoms and their Christmas specials, gory horror sequels, even Hasbro spin-offs like “Transformers Rescue Bots,” which remind you that the legacy of Orson Welles’ last film role is alive and well.
