Pebble’s Time watches get a price cut

Pebble’s last round of smartwatches came in three flavors, and several prices. Over the holidays, Pebble dropped the price on some of these watches temporarily. Now those price cuts are in effect going forward.

The Pebble Time now costs $150, while the Pebble Time Round is $200. The Pebble Time Steel remains at $250. It’s a bit of a shame, since the Time Steel was our favorite Pebble.

Fifty dollars off the Time or the Time Round is a welcome discount, but it puts Pebble’s watches in the price zone they needed to be in the first place. More competition from tons of smartwatches and fitness trackers — many of which are on sale routinely — means discounts need to happen. And the Pebble Time is nearing its one-year birthday, anyway. Good news: if you bought a Pebble on or after January 21, Pebble will refund the difference based on the prices for your region. (Contact [email protected] with the subject line “Price Adjustment” before April 1, 2016, and include your order number or email, per Pebble.)

The Pebble Time Round is now being sold in the UK and EU, too (£180 in the UK). The Pebble Time is £150 and the Time Steel is £200. In Australian dollars, the US prices convert to about AU$210 for the Pebble Time, AU$280 for the Pebble Time Round and AU$350 for the Pebble Time Steel. Pebble lists retail locations for these countries.
