Good move, Apple.
Earlier today, the company lowered the starting price of the Apple Watch Sport to $299 from its previous $349. (In the UK, it’s listed starting at £259, and in the Apple Australia store it’s listed starting at AU$429.) Still pricey, but closer to what I’d consider reasonable for the device.
Just one thing: It’s already on sale for even less.
Apple’s starting price is $299, but Best Buy currently has the Watch Sport starting at $249.

Best Buy has the Apple Watch Sport (38mm) for $249 and the Sport (42mm) for $299 — a full $100 less than the previous retail price.
Target appears to be offering the same pricing, though at this writing, all the models are showing “not available” for both shipping and in-store pickup. (I’m not sure if these sale prices simply haven’t gone into effect yet or Target is completely sold out. The latter seems less likely. Either way, I’ll update the post if I’m able to get clarification.)
Interestingly, it was just this morning that daily-deal site Meh.com offered the refurbished Apple Watch Sport models for $200 and $250. Even at that price, they didn’t sell out.
